Problem with a new coral

It was sold to me as an lps but upon inspecton I think it's a soft coral. I want an ID on it but I mainly want to know what is wrong with it. It's going brown and black and drooping a lot I put it upright and then it's flopped on the rocks. I don't know how to keep soft corals if there's anything different. I've tried to read up on them but can't get too far without difinitively knowing what it is. Here's some photos, tell me if they don't work.

I have it 2/3 away from the top of the tank and it's in medium flow. I feed corals with reef roids twice a week I just put it in the water usually. I got it in a discount tank at my lfs I just want to help it and make it all better now.

singularia. soft coral. good flow is best and they don't need to be fed. easy to keep. just leave it alone. softies do not like to be moved or touched. it may take a day or a week to acclimate to your water and lighting. they will continue to do this now and then to shed algae.

Holy crap, that has deteriorated quite fast. Dip in CoralRX or any other decent coral dip ASAP!

If there is a healthy branch, i'd frag that part off in case you lose the whole colony.

Black bits on soft corals like sinularia, nepthea, etc is a clear sign of faltering health, infection, disease....

Make sure you always use a new sharp razor for softies. Like doing surgery, you need clean instruments.
