HI just got a new Aquac Remora Pro the problem i am having is my collection cut is getting filled in like 2 mins and its just clear water i am getting a lot of foam just turns into clean water why is my cup getting filled so fast if i put the collection cup higher then it take a long time for the foam to reach the cup but not sure if that is the right thing to do help plx

Spider, the remora is very sensitive, it will do that if you dose your tank with anything. Meaning if you feed your corals or any addatives.

Chances are, its not "broke in" as of yet. For the first couple of days, my Remora Pro's collection cup filled up within a couple of hours. You just have to monitor it; keep emptying it and monitoring it some more. It will eventually break in.

Raise the collection cup to its highest point initially. Once its broke in, you can dial in the appropriate height for how you want to skim. (wet, dry, etc..)

It will eventually break in and give you around a cup every other week or so and you will slowly start to hate it and then you will want to upgrade the pump to a higher gph, then you will do that, and nothing much will change, then you will hate it even more and get rid of it. lol, thats what 90% or more of remora owners do. Generally many people will recomend them after they had it for a few months. then realize they are terrible. Sorry! I wrote into wetwebmedia and asked them nicely if they will recomend another brand of hot skimmers since these were waaay below par and they recomend them to everyone. they were't to pleased about it and wrote me some snide remarks back. Aqua c has great cust service and there in sump skimmers are decent, but there remora pro and urcin pro are expensive junk imo. They are a huge sponsor at wetwebmedia so thats the only skimmer they recomend. Its just unfortunate that they give bad advice.
