Problem with Kent salt?

One LFS reported that they've had a run-in with a bad batch of Kent salt that came in the 200g buckets.

The readings coming from the salt are Ca=470 and dKH=1.9 (very low).

Evidentally, the problem is limted to the buckets, the bags of salt seem to be fine.

The LFS said this incident is leading them to drop Kent and pick up another brand to sell.

Anyone experienced this problem yet?

Sorry if I dig this thread up. Our LFS runs into the same problem here. They almost had a customer crashed his tank when doing a water change with salt @1.6 dkh. I do use kent salt myself and find them very reliable 99% of the time. I heard they have about 100+ buckets of bad batch.

I would be very suspect of buckets purchased between Dec.1st and Jan. 30th. A few of us ordered a pallet 2 weeks ago and it seems to be good. Quite a few people are reporting this problem that purchased during the above dates. Suspect buckets are the new ones with the yellow in the logo/label.
