problem with new maxijets = vibrating when running?

I just replaced the 2 maxijet 900s on my tank. I have them on a wavemaker so they are turning on and off every 30 seconds. They both go through a shaking/vibrating session and then run normally. Sometimes there are several of these vibrating sessions - then they run smooth for a bit - then back to the vibration. I had no problem with the old ones for 5 years.

It almost appears that something is not seated right or it is out of balance. However, I wouldn't expect to see the same thing with both of them.

Anyone see this or have ideas on how to remedy it?

Maybe thake them apart and inspect the impellor/casing.

I've always had the same problem, I'm guessing the wavemaker is hard on them. Some are worse than others. I'm planning on removing my wavemaker.

It could be the wavemaker that's causing the problem as dc said above. I purchased the Natural wavemaker with 3 MJ 1200 from drsfostersmith and it works very well.

Update

The pumps work fine when plugged into direct power (not the wavemaker). I still like the wavemaker effect. What would cause the use of the wavemaker to go bad? I'm not into elecrical so I don't know if an electrical defect (not enough or too much power??) was causing this.

I might just get a new one and see what happens.
