Problem with Ora frag

I added two ora about 5 days ago. One is a teal and one is a blue tort. The blue tort appears to be doing fine but the teal is losing its color and turning white, especially around the base ( color was good the first day or two). I have them up top in my 29g with 150mh, and the lfs had them under mh as well. All parameters are good. Any suggestions?

what kind of adhesive did you use to mount it? The old my parameters are fine don't really tell us anything either. Flow? Temps?

It was already mounted by lfs. Maxi 1200 + return from sump in a 29g, pretty high flow. Water is a constant 78 thanks to my chiller. Here is a pic. I think my rose anenome could have stung it... its only a few inches away.

Not sure becaquse of quality of pic is not so good. Buy think it is RTN. Check your tank parameter.

If it is RTN i would try to frag it near the upper branch. This method has worked in the past for me.

If it was RTN, it would be dead by now. Sounds like it didn't adjust to your tank very well. IME it is difficult to blast a tort with too much light. Your 150's might be much stronger then the fish stores. Your lights could be shocking it. Did you place it on the bottom of the tank?

Check your alk. also. Mine spiked recently (up to 14:eek2: ) and many of my SPS started receding from the base up. I lowered it slowly and they are all growing back now.

Difficult to tell anything without complete parameters. Could be the bubble tip or maybe something else.
