Problem with Quiet One 3000

Anyone have a similar problem with Quiet One pumps, specifically the 3000, with restarting.

Mine seems to not like to restart after being shutdown. It comes back if I let it sit for a while...

Maybe someone knows if there is a safety in the pump or something like that.

Any advice would be useful in case I need to send it back to Dr. Foster & Smith's. Still have the box as of now.

It powers my closed loop if that makes a difference and there is about 4' feet of head it has to clear...

Isnt it the 4000 on your closed loop?

I have a 4000 it does the same you have to tap it to start it up again... I don't know why but it seems to be a problem with them all.

can you take it apart and clean the impeller and intake? maybe there are things preventing the magnets or whatnot that are inside from "firing up"? I'm not sure how that pump is to service.
