Problem with tiny sea stars

These (pictures) tiny stars have become a problem to me. As long as there were <100 they didn’t bother me but now when I guess there is a thousand I would like to limit the number. They are algae grazers, green, brown BUT also calcareous algae witch I don’t like.

I have other stars so a Harlequin shrimp is not the solution. Does someone have an idea what to do?

Are they hurting anything? If not they are probably just harmless scavengers.....

Dan
They are eating all my calcareous algae witch is bad enough.

If you have a sump I would put the other stars in there for a while while the harlequin eats the ones you don't want. Otherwise manual is probably the only way.
