problems connecting to computer

I wanted to know if anyone else has had this problem and what you did to solve it. I have tried to connect to my laptop(vista) via usb and serial (bought an adapter) as well as my desktop(windows XP).

USB to serial adapters are a nightmare to put it plainly the issue is always the adapter, as such GHL will not support them.

Best thing to do is download the latest GHL USB driver and use that, then try if no go you can get some support at www.aquariumcomputer.com/forum but my advise would be to get the PLM-USB

I got it to work with the USB
