So yesterday my water had became somewhat cloudy...seemed there was a haze in the tank...did a bunch of research and came up with many different possibilities. I then had decided I'd better take a sample of water to be tested to the LFS to see if there is something I'm missing, and/or explain my situation to an expert to get further advise. Which they basically said due to the tests, the tank seems very healthy! So...
Yesterday's test results:
Temp: 76.8
Ammo: 0
NO2: 0
NO3: 1ppm
PH: 7.8
Alk: 7
Salinity: 1.024
(30 gallon tank)
I conduct a water change every Thursday. Everything seemed fine after the change, Saturday early morning is when this started.
Live stock:
2 Clowns
1 Rose Goby
10 snails
15 crabs
1 War coral frag
1 Duncan with 3 polyps
1 Green Tongue coral
1 Purple Sea daisy with 20 polyps
1 Yellow Tiger stripe Coral.
As of today everything is the same, except PH is 8.1-8.3.
Duncan coral is completely closed.
The tongue coral for a few weeks now has been weird, only one side is puffed up with its tentacles out. The other side is not puffed up with the tentacles pulled in.
And also the mouth of the tongue coral seems a little receded.
The war coral at night usually has tentacles that come out...never did last night.
So all this going on with the corals has me a bit worried. Everything up until yesterday seemed fine. The tank is very new, 4 months old.
I appreciate any help I can get!
