Product opinion: Rio Nano Skimmer

A while ago I bought a Rion Nano Skimmer at SWA. I got this because I was setting my 26g bow back up and I was basically broke. It is rated for 25g max so i am 1 over. It has been set up and running for a few months now and I must say I am impressed. It is a hard worker. My clarity is not perfect but it is constantly pulling nasties out of the water.

So here is my opinion. I would recommend this product to anyone with a tank smaller than 20gallons. It is an excellent novice skimmer for begginers and can be used for people with higher levels of skill as well. The price is perfect for what it is.

My brother is running it on a 29g and it works great. Rob told him it would work on anything up to around 45 gallons. Its a great skimmer though I cant wait to get one for my 10g nano

I never really got mine to work - maybe I didn't set it up/adjust it correctly. It didn't really seem to bring down my nitrates. I was running it on a 24-g biocube.

crank down the nut around the air intake pipe to get the vinturi right. I used them on a 2 and 10g with sucess
