Profilux questions and upgrade path

I have a general question and a question about the upgrade path.

I purchased the Profilux used, and I believe it is a Profilux II Plus, that had expansion cards added to it for wireless, redox, and conduitivity. How can I be sure though which Profilux it is (as an example, what is the difference between the PII, PII Plus, and PII Plus Ex?

If indeed it is a PII PLus, and I wanted to take advantage of the reduced price upgrade to PIII, can I do a straight upgrade to PIII, or do I need to upgrade first to a PII Plus Ex, then upgrade to a PIII?

Sorry for such a basic question, but I've tried to decipher the catalog and I'm still confused (probably cause the one I have has had things added to it and doesn't fall into the standard model or package category.

You can tell if its an eX buy looking where the Redox & Cond are located. If above the plugs, then eX. If located next to the right side when looking from the rear then its not.

You do not have to upgrade to eX to go to the III, but you have missed the discounted upgrade.
 
Yes, I kind of just realized that. so what is the "deal" that ends Jan 10th? I also looked to see what the PIII upgrade kit price is, and can't find it. Do you know?

If you want to know what controller type you have

eitjer turn it upside down and look at the sticker. If it says just profiLux Plus II, but has an EX card fitted (redox port cond port 3rd level port, L5L6) then it was originally a plus II but fitted with an EX upgrade kit

If it says plus II EX on its bum then it is a factory made Plus II EX

If it says plus II and has none of the above then it is Just a plus II

All the above can be converted into a ProfiLux 3
 
the deal is $75 off a P3 beginner pack and $50 off an P3 EX beginner pack

This deal is open to any dealer to offer.

There are no deals on the upgrade kits however
 
Still not a bad price (but wish I hadn't missed the sale. Is there a link that explains well what the new features are, over what I already have in mine?

Take your time and ask questions through this forum... It took me a long time to understand everything that we can do with this system.

More than you would think...
 
One last question then...so what is the deal I was reading about that expires Jan 10th? Is that for first time Profilux customers for a whole unit (not an upgrade)?
