I noitice this morning that the Profilux screen is frozen on
Illuminat. run
Selection with

I can still do everything through the ProfiluxControl and the unit responds there fine but I can not change anything on the unit itself. (none of the buttons work screen is stuck)

I have tryed rebooting twice, it reboots then goes right back to this screen.

I dont have anything except the temp sensor pluged in and havent tryed to plug anything else into it (except for installing the WLAN last night.

The Profilux version is 3.05 but the ProfiluxControl version is 3.07
I have not tryed to update the firmware on the Profilux yet because Im not sure if its ok to do so over the WLAN

Any ideas?

Sounds like a conflict.

Go to extras and restore factory settings. You will need to set up everything but sounds like you have a conflict in there, possibly the WLAN.

If not matthias will be along in a short while to advise further, I know you are waiting for the R3232 cable!

Hey Aaron… dont do it over the wireless (even the USB is not recommended :c)

If you want to do an update make sure you follow the instruction on page 65 of the manual. On this page it points that the only safe way to flash the device is to use the serial cable that came with the unit.

I'm no expert but I would try flashing the Profilux to version 3.08 and upgrade the client software to 3.08 also.

If you do decide to perform the upgrade make sure that you backup your configuration first as the configuration data can be corrupted while you perform the firmware upgrade.

Good luck, I did mine yesterday

I think the answer is simple:
When you reassembled the housing maybe a button got stuck.

->open the housing again, make sure all keys are in the correct position, close it again

I pulled off the cover and the buttons are not stuck, I also removed the WLAN and restarted it and it still gets stuck on the same screen.
I also tryed to reset the Profilux to factory settings and it made no diffrence. It is kinda like Mathis describe as if a button is stuck but All the buttons click when I push them so it may just be a defective button

When I press the Sun-button permanently I have exactly the situation like you have. I am absolutely sure that the Sun-button is permanenetly pressed in your device.

Let's do this:
Disconnect AC/DC adaptor. Open the housing again. Pull out the front plate and front PCB together carefully (you need not to disconnect any cable). Insert the PCB only without front plate (it was in the second slot counted from the front). Leave housing open.
Connect power supply again. Now each key is free and has no chance to be pushed permanently.

Result?

I tryed that already Matthias. I took out the front plate so that just the buttons were there and turned it on. It does the same thing.
I had to program all the WLAN on this by inputing the numbers on the Profilux itself after I installed the card on the Unit since I dont have the Serial cable. It was working fine until the next morning when it was stuck on this screen.
I think there is something wrong with the front board causing it to think the button is depressed when its not.

It wasnt before I went to bed last night but its ok now.

Pretty much conclusive then that there was a button stuck, there physically is no other reason

email me with updates.
