ProfiLux Thunderstorm effect in action!!!

If you have speakers turn them up. This way you will enjoy the video even more.

I used only "moderate" settings to create the lightning. It is very easy to make it even darker in the tank but I like the way it is in the video the most.
Duration was set to only 1 minute. You can easily extend the duration and lightning will be then less frequent.

Hi Maxreefer. What is your current lighting setup? I have just bought 4 x Simul L's for a 10ft tank and plan to use them with dimmable t5's as well.. Only issue is my Metal Halides are not dimmable so this would have to happen either once the halides go off.. or before they turn on..

I am also very interested in what you are running for your lighting and also for the effects as I have an 8'x3'x2.5' and would like to add similar effects using my Profilux.

The main effect is created by Ai lightings LED system that is controlled by the profiLux, not as i orginally thought by the use of the Simu's

HOWEVER, the same effect is achievable with the simu's for storm effect we just have not yet managed to get a good video of it. I have now gone and got a vid camera so will see what I can sort out in the next few weeks, then play with the setting and publish them.

So this effect is achievable with both Ai lighting hooked up to the profiLux and also the simu's

I don't understand why this option is called "thunderstorm" effect.

Thunder = sound
Lightning = light

I can post a video of what lightning looks like with the AI modules if you would like. The Simu LED sticks/spot do a much better job IMO.
