Profilux - tunze pump controll

I am looking to buy a profilux controller and still have some questions about it wich i don't find on the faq pages of GHL

What is the difference between the 2 cables to connect Tunze pumps
On the site i find ProfiluxTunze1 and 2
the 1 connects to L1(3)
The 2 connects to L2(4)

How should i understand this are there 4 connections on the controller and i will only need the Y connector from the moment i have more then 4 pumps?
Or are there only 2 connections which can be doubled to 4 with the Y connector.

At the moment there are 4 Tunze stream pumps in my aquarium so before ordering the controler and cables it would be nice to know this

Bart if I am understanding you correctly...

There are only 2 inputs and you need the Y connector to acheive 4 connections.

For 4 Tunze you'd need:

• 2x Tunze1
• 2x Tunze2
• 1x Y connector.

This gives you the ability to have 4 Tunze connections using 2 ports on the P3 controller.

slight correction,

3 x YL2-1

1 will split the port into two
2 will give 3 outputs
3 will give you 4 outputs 2 of which will mirror each other.

I recently bought a complete "turnkey" tank that has a Profilux 3. It has a splitter looking cable with two cables marked Tunze 1 and Tunze 2. Do I end up plugging the power for the two power heads into my GHL power bar? I'm lost so far. I've been using a Reefkeeper Elite, with 5 PC4s (20 power outlets) and am having trouble figuring out how to accomplish the same tasks with only 6 outlets.

The power supplies just go into any wall socket not the power bar sockets.

The splitter goes into L1L2 and the tunze cables off of that.

Can I connect the splitter into the network port of a PAB that is connected to the Profilux? I have the profilux in the garage while the display tank is inside the house with a PAB connected to the controller. The Tunze pumps are inside the tank. Here' my connection
Tunze1 and 2 => Tunze Cable 1 and1 => YL2-1 => Powerbar PAB => Profilux (PAB port).

The tank is 8ft away from the tank but it's behind a wall. Currently, I only have a network cable that connects the profilux to the Powerbar PAB which sits under the tank.

If you can run a longer cable along side the PAB Cable going into the garage, you could use YL2-2.5 or YL2-5 for your Tunze pumps.
