One day I will get water in the main display! lol

Nah, Soon though. I told Troy he had to come help me with it.. lol.. that way HE can break it..... Since he warrantied it...

Jason

Lol, I knew I could sucker you into it! :) I want to wait to drill it until I have the money to buy a CL pump though. This way I can figure out where I am going to put it in the stand to figure out plumbing, and where to drill for it. Really though, on the drilling, I would feel much better if you were here.

Tonight I got the holes poked in it. I drilled 6 65mm holes for 1-1/2" bulkheads. I also got my calflo overflow installed. Two of the holes are for my new sequence dart, and the other 4 are drains to the basement frag tanks/fuge/and sump. I am hoping to have it plumbed up, and water in it by next weekend. See everyone at the frag swap tomorrow!

A little update:
I have been to Lowes, Southerlands, and Westlake about 50 times today... But, with all the running, and plumbing,... I just may be able to get water in the beast tonight. I have to make the CL bar, and run my lines up/down from the basement, and she is ready for water. Been a long day. I will take some plumbing pics before I push her against the wall and post on here tomorrow. Man, Its amazing the money you can spend on plumbing! I think I have abnout $150.00 now just in PVC!

And she leaks! Oh well..apparently I did not get the CL stuff together well enough. So tomorrow, it comes back apart. That Iwaki 100 rocks for a return pump though. I ran it for about 45 seconds, and it filled the tank 1/4 of the way.

Not really yet. Water is in, new skimmer up and running. It is a DIY skimmer John Kelly made, and powereed by a sedra 9000. I hope to start aquascaping it soon. I also had to add some more support under the tank in the basement. The floors were a "little" bouncy. Hopefully later this week, I will get back to work on the canopy. I got a T-5 HO ballast (for the actinics) and some killer reflectors for the whole hood. Thanks for the interest!

Thanks guys! and a special thanks to John Kelly, and Troy, and everyone else who got me the great deals to get this thing set up!... I just realized something though.... I need a BIGGER TANK!

Jason

Most of it is already open.. It was closed in the pics though. I will snap some new ones later today...The 100g sump is full of rock too... I had no idea I had that much..

Jason

Looks good...as stupid as this will sound you may want to tap the skimmate cup for drainage on your skimmer. I know the thing was overflowing due to the sand but the collection cup seems small to me, but I haven't seen your set up so it may be fine in the future.

Just a thought though...

I would, but if it goes crazy, I don't want it to empty my sump.. it will just overflow back into it. It takes about 2 days to fill the cup under "normal" operating conditions. Man, I LOVE that Sedra needlewheel though!
