Well, after working all the way up to the game and then all the way up to the UFC event and working all morning till now I now have the plumbing all done (execpt for the OM 4 way). I have all the lights mounted and installed, wiring run, bulbs in and all. (have to pick up my other ballast but am wired up to it).

Closed loop pump is mounted and plumbed.

Return is plumbed and mounted.

All plumbing (except for the closed loop waiting on OM 4 way) is glued and curing.

I have to say that after 24 10' tubes of PVC, 25' of spa flex, 18 true union ball valves, about a million small ends and fittings and two really big holes in my wall, this is no small job.

I really enjoyed doing all the work but am glad it is almost finished. I will be letting everything cure for the next 2 weeks while I am doing the whole turkey day thing and then going on vacation. After I return I am going to put my sand and rock in and fill the bad boy up.

I considered putting some regular hose water in it before I left just to make sure there are not leaks but I think I will do that after I return. For those of you who haven't yet seen my tank and stand....

Well I am off to phishys to pick up the sand and give him some more money. I am going to actually spend part of the day with my family instead of the tank... i know i know they were suprised too.

Gratz on getting it all finished :)

Busy is an understatement but that is no suprise to any of you I am sure.... how goes yours Norm? Getting close?

I updated the thread on my move...don't want to muddy your thread w/ my stuff :) . Shooting for water on Wednesday...

Cool... I pick up my OM 4 way and my other Ballast on Wed. then I can finish the CL. I ran two new 20amp GFI circuts back to the overflow room. I put in the 20 AMP GFI Breakers instead of just the plugs. I need to plug them into to box still. After that I am 100% done and ready for water!

So after I get back should be all cured and read to go.

Ok question.... I have about 300 gallons of water mixed in my basement in trashcans... .I have maxijets that I rotate through the trashcans so that about half of them have flow all the time. The water is a bit on the cold side but not freezing or anything. I have noticed that the MJ's are getting a slime on them and the water has a slight green tint to it. Is this water now ruined or is that normal ok. I have never stored water like this before and am not sure what to do about it. I had expected to put the water in the tank yesterday or today; however, since I am going on vacation I left it in the trash cans.

Second question. If I leave for a week will the water be ok? Currently the water has a slightly high salt content since I knew i would be diluting it with 200gallons more of regular ro di.

yeah I dont have a meter yet.... but I bought a 100 gpd brand new one from BPS at the frag swap and have made oh about 500-600 gallons with it.

2 of the pipes in the picture are actually house plumbing... I just ran them all together so that I could finish around them.
