Promiscuous Shrimp (with pics)

In Memoriam
I have a snapping shrimp that was collected with a pair of Yasha Gobies. I put them in the same tank that I have a trio of Randalli gobies.

I took some pictures last night that I am downloading real soon. It seems that the shrimp dug out a nice tunnel network with 4 openings under a single rock. Each whole is guarded by a different goby. The shrimp comes out to investigate from each whole and digs a little. Looks like 4 of the gobies are all sharing one shrimp!

As for the tiniest goby, he doesnt get a shrimp. He gets to hang out with my 12" brittle star. Its actually pretty scary because the brittle star always keeps one of his arms on top of the goby. Never grabs him and the goby never gets scared. they just hang out. Hopefully he wont eat him.

I have pics of all this I described. Post them soon.

I got some weird livestock. Anyone else have sharing like this?

I used to have a Pistol that shared his burrow with both a Hi-Fin and a Randalls. He also made two entryways, but both gobies insisted on sharing the same entryway, so he just made it larger and eventually the other entry got covered up. Shrimp gobies and their Shrimp definitely are fun combos to watch.

Very nice, get rid of that brittle star asap. There are many threads abour serpent stars eating fish. I had one do it. It is not a green one and those seem to be the primary predators, but why risk it with such nice fish.

That. Is. Way. Cool..........i agree with dvmsn, it's mostly the green ones that will eat fish and if he WAS going to eat the fish, he would have already done it
