Proper quarantine procedure for SPS?

Hi Guys

Since I am converting to a mainly SPS dominated tank and new to SPS, I need your help.

I want to add them right... that means quarantine and meds if needed.

What is a proper QT method for acros?

Or is there a standard QT method for all SPS?

Is it mostly acros that have flatworms, red bugs, etc... or pretty much any SPS can?

Thanks for the help.

Acropora can carry AEFW, Red bugs.
Montipora can carry Monti nudibranchs.
Most corals/rock/etc can carry eggs for the above.
There will be more pests, just give it time.

Personally, QT would mean 4-6 weeks minimum, with regular [weekly?] inspections with a hand-lens.
You can treat with interceptor [I run one full 6 hour treatment, like in the guide-thread]. For the others, nothing is proven to kill the eggs - so while you can dip, I would QT/inspect first/instead.
