Did you ever come up with something to protect fish from the intake? I have read thatit was supposed to be coming out. Last night I pulled my Purple Tang out of the intake pump. Never had problems before but
some how it grabbed me Tang and tore him up pretty good. rather not have this happen again. If you do have them than where do I get them at?

They will come with all MP40w pumps and we will also sell them three to a pack within the near future. We are currently finalizing the packaging.

i know you said they come with the 40w, is there anyway of getting some with the wireless adaptor preorder? that would be awesome, i have 2 and would really like not to lose my purple or sohol and man oh man if my big rose does something stupid like move, thanks!

I was wondering what these were for. Seems like these things would be debris magnets. I can't imagine a Sohol Tang getting stuck to one of these pumps unless it was sick & weak to begin with.

i have had creatures sucked into maxijets and seen them sucked into koralias, so i do not want issues when i set up the vortechs

I can see how a maxijet could capture a fish if you did not have the intake cover on but I am very suprised a purple tang got caught in a vortech. I had one fish commit accidental suicide because he stuck his face inside the vortech when I had them on 30 minute intervals. It was off when he decided to graze and it turned on while his head was in it. Needless to say he was a killed but with the new pumps they will never shut all the way off and it should save any fish from that. I would really hate to add a foam sleeve over a Vortech, in my tank I would have to clean them almost daily or loose a lot of flow.
