Protein Skimmer Question

I was curious about the power head that I have on my protein skimmer. Does it matter how strong the power head is as far as how well it will operate the skimmer or is it kind of a middle of the spectrum thing where you don't want one too strong but you don't want one too weak?

Its a SeaClone 100

If I was you I would look for a better skimmer. Look on ebay. The BakPaks are alright. I have a AquaC Remora hang on that I really like. As far as a pump for your skimmer you could get the Maxi Jet 1200.

i think my seaclone 100 ended up with a MJ900 on it. if "dialing-in" your skimmer is an issue, try looking for a different valve to control the air flow. if you take the time to dial-in while you top off (as i did daily), the skimmer isn't too bad.

I did a Bio ball mod on the impeller on mine, and also changed the valve out to a basic air line valve. The skimmer worked better, but was still lacking in performance.
