Hey everybody, I've been tring to find a skimmer and read alot of good and bad things about defferent ones, and I just can't decide. in your opinion what is the best.

Thanks

I have a 90g fowlr and I use a SeaClone 150 installed in the sump. Alot of people don't like the seaclone but I have had very good luck with mine. Does a nice job and the price is right.

I have one of those too. Mine was a bad one did not work period.i looked around the forums found some mods, came up with a couple my self. Now my formerly totally useless seaclone pulls a cup of crud every two days.

As you have been reading you should have also seen where people say do not skimp on the skimmer. Get the best skimmer that you can afford. I agree with scrmbld33 about ASM being really good, especially with the gate valve and recirc mods.

Don't forget, you can always look at the Selling Forum for Drygoods and Used Equipment here and find some really good deals as well.

Seaclones are underated IMO (or the Aqua C's are over rated) take your pick..... :p

I will add that a seaclone in sump (without the J-tube installed) works alot better then a HOB Seaclone...

I've heard nothing but good things about ASM skimmers.... if you are going to spend the money for an aqua C, you might as well spend a bit more for an ASM.....
