I have noticed that a lot of ebay buyers have no idea how to review a protein simmer. Imo you should save a bit for a used skimmer from the rc classifieds if you are short on cash...

It's a 150g tank, I think. I agree on trying to get a second hand skimmer if you don't have all the funds to buy brand new. As long as you aren't heavily stocked and keep up on water changes, I'd think you'd be ok to save up for a few months to get one. What is your current stocking?

150 gal tank 40 gallon sump. Skimmer will go inside the sump.

Don't waste your money. Look at Eshopps skimmers. Best bang for your buck.
