Protein skimmer

I have this exact skimmer on my 36g bow front. HOB style till I build my Sump. My water level sits at about 1/3rd above the bottom of the funnel. It's doesn't always produce skimmate. But when it does its dry sludge. It took about a week of finicking with it to dial it in. The most minute changed affect the flow for the intake dial. And the air intake dial is just as sensitive. I have mine damn near closed for both and it works great

Also I find water level is very sensitive. Once I had it dialed in mark your tank with a piece of tape or something. I also unplugged the overflow and attached the tube to a 2l pop bottle it has saved my bacon 2ce during the dial in process.

Actually when I got home today I had beautiful brown skimmate flowing all the way up the tube and sticking to the lid. Glad to know its not a complete waste

Here are some pics of mine. Works fantastic. Some ppl just don't have the patience it takes to dial them in correctly.

Ok dumb question how do u quote someone. Or can u not do it from a phone. And grimreaperz I had my flow valve kinda where Urs was at but mine wouldn't make any bubbles until I opened it a good way. But one I plugged the vent on the outlet it worked like a charm and I can literally adjust bubble level down to about 1/4" anyway I want to go
