Just so you know, there are a lot of things that will cause your skimmer to go on the fritz. Even the Deltec on my tank is not immune to this. When you put your hands in the water, the surface tension changes. I have over 130 gallons of water and simply putting my hand in for a second or two will cause the skimmer to pretty much stop skimming for a few hours. I feed using Vitachem. Even 6 drops of this stuff stops the skimmer from foaming for several hours.
