OK I'm convinced.... Protein Skimmer will be bought asap. Most likely this week if not tomorrow. My tank is a 65 gallon tall so I want to know which is a good one for my tank. Please don't tell me that the only ones that are any good are the $500 ones. I was looking at this model

It says it's enough for 90 gallons so should be plenty for my tank. Any reviews on this model??? does anyone know the gph on it so I can use it to help calculate my water turnover.

I had 1. I finally upgraded to an aquac remora pro on my 75. The difference is amazing. Save the money on the prizm and get something better. IMO

prizm is great for a paperweight. all reveiws ive read say they are a piece of crap. the guy at the LFS agreed and refuses to carry or order them. that should tell you something about them.
JDM...:smokin:...:p

ive seen them go for as low as 100, imo prob the best hang on back skimmer for the money. microbubbles are the only downside, but you can later add a skimmer box made for it to eliminate them

the only skimmer i own, aquaC. my other tanks have no skimmers. just flow and over 1.75 lbs. of LR per gallon and 5 inch DSB's.

For HOB skimmers I'd suggest the AquaC Remora Pro HOT Skimmer w/Mag350 Pump Upgrade, or also maybe the coralife SS 125 or even the 220, but these arne't that great IMO. The prism is junk.

I just bought a EuroReef RS135 at Premium Aquatics for $300. There should be one or two down from that. Great skimmers, completely worth the price. Check them out.
