used euro-reef or deltec, anything with a 8" chamber or bigger, preferably more than one pump. You can also find some sick ETSS skimmers for that size, but then you'll need to get a pressure rated pump as well and it would have to be external, but it would kick arse.
IMO ASM is at the bottom of the barrel for relative quality needlewheel skimmers. ASM, Bermuda, Octo pro, MSX, Euro-Reef, Orca, H&S, Deltec, in that order, least best to best IMO.
Just give the guy an honest opinion of what u guys are currently using and what u have used in the past.
IMHO the only way to be able to make those recomendations is to have use all of the above so the rest IMHO is hearsay.
I've used becketts/DD and some NW's, and based on fact not hearsay w/o getting into brands well u guys know my opinion.
A NW( specifically euro) will not side by side in a previous tank pull half of the stuff my current skimmer does.( granted u need that extra pump and fpl will hunt u for that)
HTH
Ive used Nw skimmer in the past and i hated the fact that everytime i fed it would take off. My etss goes down so you dont have to worry. The skim it pulls out is way better then what the NW ever pulled out.
