Good evening next puffer gen, the 65 will work just keep your bioload down and give water changes every week so what the skimmer dont dilute the water change will if you can't get a bigger one for your tank. The coralife 65 is only for up to 65 gallons so be careful, hope this helps...
If i have those three fish will that be too much bioload. I know puffers and eels are messy. I always do weekly water changes. Thanks for the reply chaotic reefer4u.
Sorry I misread the initial post, but even a 75, a porcupine puffer does not belong in it. The foxface would be pushing it, but depending on which foxface it could work.
No way would I do that skimmer with your bio load. First off those coralife skimmers are crap, second you need a skimmer rated for twice your tank volume.
I also would avoid any puffer in a 75g as mentioned above.
I am not familiar with eels at all, but I would assume a tomini tang would be fine in a tank with one.
As well if you want a puffer, you could always try a Toby puffer
Thanks cy455. Ive heard eels dont mess with puffers at all. Im getting them all as babies. I think ill go with the original plan and get a valentini puffer, fuzzy dwarf lionfish and a snowflake eel. I really wated this setup anyways.
Yeah but im plan on feeding him before night alot because i know they kinda search for food at night. You think he would try to eat them. From my understanding snowflakes are one of the smaller species.( not the smallest 2 feet)
I have a porcupine puffer with a yellowhead and snowflake eels neither will mess with the puffer. The yellowhead is so mean he ate my lionfish but wouldnt think about the puffer.
