Prunning your Mushrooms

I am working on getting rid of some of my hairy mushrooms because they have taken over my tank. I plan on leaving some but to prevent them from hijacking my tank, how do i go about prunning them? It seems like it should be something simple like cutting them off, but i just wanna make sure.

just cut them off and ship them to me lol. yes it as simple as that but if you dont get all of the mushroom they may grow back
