Very nice!

Can you collect P. connelli? I hear they are common but have never seen tank photos of them. They are restricted to SA so will never be found in the aquarium trade. The males are pretty ridiculous.

Wow, what a stunning looking fish.
I've personally never seen one locally while free diving or on scuba.

With regard to local collection, we are allowed to catch any fish we find locally - rock pool netting, free diving or on scuba. It requires a collection permit which is very easy to obtain from a local post office. Any caught fish may not be sold or traded but should be for one's own aquarium. There is also a limit to the number of specimens caught at each occasion.

(Of course, between friends fish are often swopped or given.)

Boy, you need to start importing those to the States! You'd make a killing. Especially if you could breed them in captivity. Beautiful fish!
