PSK 2500 alternative pumps?

I have an old ATI BM 250. Got it when they first came out and bubblekings were still several thousand dollars and the minis did not exist. Both the sicce pumps are having trouble staying on for more then a day. Poking them daily is no fun. Both pumps have actually been replaced since the original and I think maybe one has been replaced twice.

With that in mind buying new 2500's will only last a couple of years. Also BRS doesn't even carry them anymore which is where I was going to order them from.

Now I know you can still find these pumps, I have. My question is are there any viable alternatives outside of buying a new skimmer? I should point out I have been happy with the actual skimming performance both with the original mesh wheels and then the pin wheels, I just hate the reliability.

IIRC the PSK600's are a replacement for old 2500, but I would shoot an email at ATI and see if they agree or have an alternative. The old BM skimmers were good skimmers, I would try and breathe new life into it as well.

The psk1000 flows 880gph, the psk600 flows about 661 gph and the psk2500 flows about 660 gph, the psk600 is the equivalent replacement, though it is a much better pump than the psk2500.
