Ptereleotris dartfish - naturally in groups?

Are these best kept in groups? How are they found (socially - numbers) in the wild?

If I've got an established breeding pair, should I just leave them alone? Or would they be happier with more of their own kind?

I'm not sure about their social structure in the wild but they always seem to appreciate being in pairs and groups in tanks. They seem to be pretty jittery when they are kept alone and much less so if there are several of them.
