Puerto Rico Trip!

in Pedro's photos, how is that done? The water splashing areas in the first pic where the waterfall hits the bottom? How it looks almost ghostly. Excuse my poor description, but I am pretty new to photography.

usfpaul82 - that effect is the result of a time exposure. Several seconds of the lens open gives you that effect. If you check his site you will see he uses time exposures a lot.

My ex girlfriend always tried talking me into going to PR but I never made it. After seeing the pics I wish I did make it :(

Isn't digital great?! :D

No worries, I didn't mean to come off as too critical. I was just checking that we were seeing the same thing.

Justin, these pics are amazing. Are all of your HDR shots 3-exposure and are you using -2/0/+2 on all of them or are you using other exposure brackets?

Im slowly learning HDR and agree w/ your post in the thread I started; HDR inspires me to go pick my camera up and get to shootin'!

MeuserReef I use 3 shots -2, 0, +2 Thanks for the good words!
I have found out that tonemapping is the heart of the image
and also learned that over cast day or dusk and dawn are the best time to shot HDR. Learning new stuff everyday. Flickr has some really good info!
