I'm getting ready to take a trip to Puerto Rico, and was wondering where the best place to stay would be for snorkeling, shallow reefs (less than 20ft), and overall abundance of marinelife? I'll be staying at Wyndham Rio Mar beach resort. Any tips/advice would be greatly appreciated!! :bounce2:

Go to a place called steps!! Omg i loved it so much. so many colorfull fish and coral. Watch out for the fire coral. the best snorkaling i have seen. But then again i have only snokled in costarica and mexico lol. Try to look up a place called steps. Watch out for crazy drivers there to lol

Also this sounds weird and probally shouldnt say this but i will. The cops down there alaways look at gringos weird lol. I knew a family that got cought up in a sittutaion and the cops took them. They had a pair of binoculars and the cops sall them. They gave them to them and they let them go. I have herd they like binoculars lol idk why but they do. I am not saying go try this but just in case :). Hope you enjoy your trip

~~~Dont beaffraid of the street food stands they are they best and usally really clean
not to thread jack how about in cancun going friday cant wait im 27 and my first vacation in 8 years with my girl about to be kid free for a week im not going to know what to do well some stuff i will lol but what could i see when i go?
That hotel is a pretty short drive from Fajardo. Drive down there and take the ferry to Culebra. The ferry takes about an hour, and I believe costs $4. The snorkeling just about anywhere on the west side of Culebra is awesome (Carlos Rosario is my favorite beach if you're up for the hike. If not, Melones and Tamarindo are very good as well). If you extra time (as in, you can spend the night on Culebra), take a boat over to the even smaller island of Culebrita. Odds are you'll have the island to yourself, and can enjoy some great snorkeling/diving.
But you are thread jacking...
Islands around fajardo (palomino, palominito, culebra) are nice but they might be a 45 min drive from San Juan.
Rincon, Cabo Rojo, La Pared and La Parguera in Lajas at the West and South West part of the Island. Mona Island and Desecheo off the West Coast.
Culebra and Vieques Islands off the East Coast.
Hope enjoy your vacation, don't worry, you can speak English in every corner, we're part of the US.
