Puffer not doing well.

The puffer fish I had got at TPP last month seemed to be one of the few fish which came home to the DRC and made it... I am not sure if it will make it that much longer.

Thanks Al, but the fish did not make it through the night. I had thought about doing a freshwater dip last night incase something was in it's gills, but I couldn't bring myself to do that to the fish that was already under so much stress. I suppose when it laid on the bottom it would have been better then nothing, but it's too late now.

Now I am worried the tank might be infected.

Was reading and found an old book with diseases, look up Piscine TB. the reason is if it was this then if you put your hand in and have a cut you will have trouble healing the cut
Symptoms
loss of appetite, listless, hidding soon no interest in feeding, rapid respiration, developement of white blotches and areas of raised scales finally the fins become ragged and the fish lies on its side on the bottom

A lot of diseases have simular symptoms
