Puffer won't eat

What are some recommendations for a Puffer that won't eat. I believe he may have an internal problem as he really doesn't have any outward signs of something wrong other than he doesn't have the same spunk and refuses to eat.

Maybe internal parasites or bacterial infection?

What should I treat him with?

Water parameters all checked out fine.

I was hoping that someone with more puffer experience would have replied to your post by now. :(

PufferQueen is particularly knowledgeable about puffers.

My limited experience with puffers is that they can be stubborn sometimes to begin to get eating. They will usually do fine without eating for several weeks if they had been eating in the wild or their previous location.

People have used dither fish to encourage their puffer to eat (and when it began eating, it ate the dither fish!). Other 'tricks' is to make a very large water change (80%). This sometimes stimulates the eating process.

Keep trying different foods appropriate for your fish:
