OK so this is my $10 used brain. I got it from a local guy here on Reef Central.

I have noticed lately that it gets super puffy during the day, and sucks way in at night. I am also noticing what look like blisters on in when is is sucked in at night. I do not have a photo of the blisters, but I will capture some tonight and post one.

The six line wrasse was posing for this one.

Thank you,

John

Should I worry about it pushing up against the glass or should I move it? Right now when it puffs up it is pushing against the glass in the front and a rock in the back. I would need to redo some of my rock work, but it is not a big deal if that is what this coral needs.

Thank you again,

John

AWESOME pickup. A LFS near me has one with neon yellow and neon green colors but not even close to the price you paid. You have to love it when you get a sweet deal.

That's a nice coral. i bet it has some cool feeding tentacles. Have you tried feeding it anything yet?

wierd bubbles

wierd bubbles

This is the strange behavior I see at night. like bubbles or blisters. It is getting some light on it at night, but I am working on reducing the amount of light. It has a CPR Aquafuge2 PS and the light is on 24/7. I am fabricating a panel to block the light into the main tank.

Is this a bad thing?

Once again thank you all for the help,

John

just looks like some water has not escaped from part of individual polyps, i don't think thats a big deal at all, pretty normal.

the coral probably feeds at night, if you do any midnight raids you will probably see the feeding tentacles open
