Pukani or Reef Saver from BRS?

I am looking to place an order today. I am either going to do about 65lbs of Pukani or 85lbs of the "reef saver". This is my only rock right now, will be seeding all of this with 10-15lbs of live rock from lfs. Which would you get? Is there a big difference between the two?

the pukani is more porous and lighter than reef saver. A couple of week ago it was on sale for $2.99 I was going to get some and missed the opportunity. the reef saver is supposed to be easier to stack and it's cheaper than pukani. why not get a little of both?:spin2:

I just ordered 60lbs of the Pukani. My shipment came in 2 boxes with a total of 75 lbs! I asked for larges pieces and they loiok great!

Well, pulled the trigger on the Pukani. Everyone I talked to said if it was in stock...grab it. It also gave me most volume-weight. With it being so rare I figured if i get it in and don't care for it I can resale it to local reefers. I am looking forward to getting it and seeing how it looks. Is there better customer service than Bulk Reef Supply? Those guys are top notch and are doing it right.

by rare i meant in stock, they say it is hard to find in stock.

You made a great choice. Pukani is beautiful rock. Wish I got some of that, but I'll have to settle with BRS Fiji, which is still quite nice but not like Pukani.

I ordered 50# of Pukani and the stuff is beautiful, Only bad part is that I couldn't fit 50# of it in my 58G if I tried! I manage to make a nice structure in my tank and only used 38# of it and that 38# is about as much as I would ever want in the tank as it looks pretty full.

You can feel warm and fuzzy and get the reef saver, as it wasn't taken from the ocean.

I just got 30 lbs of the reef saver and am quite happy with it! Although the pukani did look quite nice.
