how do you get this coral to pulse my friend and i both have some and would love to see some action from it

You don't really see it much. Turn off your flow, and wait for something to swim by. It will then pulse briefly.

That is correct. I have 3 large colonies. That is how it works. You can also see the individual polyps close and open on their own occassionally when the water is calm.

They do appear to love a good amount of flow though. I dropped mine into a hole in a rock temporarily in my frag tank. 1 day later it was completely grown in and has doubled in size in no time.
