Funny enough, a couple of years ago I had a pair of pink skunk clowns -- once they started spawning they became beyond aggressive. Ended up selling them after they indirectly killed my golden dwarf angel. Do have a pair of mated orange skunks in another tank.
Wow, thanks for all the replies. Wasn't getting any emails from the thread subscription, so didn't know the thread had grown.
Anyhoo...my lfs told me that cutting xenia releases toxins into the water. Is this true? Should I be careful when cutting the xenia back? I also read that they don't have any way to eat supplemental food, but I blasted it with some food last night and it seemed to kick start the pulsing which had been pretty weak until then. Any thoughts?
I have to trim my back often, and in the process often cut them -- pretty badly too -- and have noticed 0 issues from that. Okay, it does stink but that only bothers me, and nothing in the tank.
I only feed my fish, and have never even attempted to supplemental feedings with mine -- as you can see, they grow just fine.
Just wanted to go ahead and jump on the bandwagon and say Todd that is a sexy looking tank. My wife would go crazy for a tank like that. I just wish that Carolstream, IL was a bit closer to STL and I'd come steal some frags from you
