Pulsing Xenia...

I like the look of pulsing xenia but i dislike how it stalks up and gets really big...i would love to have it so that it stalks up about an inch or so...is this possible?

anyone have any pics of there xenia...love to see!

I think you are looking for pompom (also called white) xenia. It doesn't get much taller than an inch or two.

does it spread as rapidly as any other xenia does? under the correct conditions of course...

As I said in that thread, my brown xenia spreads MUCH faster than my pom pom, which is either stable or receding. As you can also see, this is not the experience of others, some have both and they grow just as fast.

Here's a pic of part of my tank. As you can see, the brown xenia are quite a handful, but I still like it...

IME, once the xenia reaches the top of whatever rock structure it is on, it stops spreading. I have yet to see any of mine travel down the rock face in three years. It's like zoa's...if you don't want them to spread, put them on an "island".
