pulsing xenia

I recently changed my flow through my tank. Since then my pulsing xenia have been closed more and seem to either: A be adjusting to the new flow. Or B being extremely unhappy about the new flow pattern. Do I leave it alone for awhile and wait to see? Or move it? It's only been three days

Is it getting pretty heavy flow now? Mine sure close up quick if they get too much flow or a random burst hits them too hard.

Yours may be adjusting to new flow, but are probably unhappy with the new flow pattern and would rather be relocated.

Pulsing xenia only pulse to send water down over their body so that they can absorb the nutrients from the water. If there is enough water movement they will stop pulsing as there is no need. If you want them to pulse you need to reduce the water flow.
