pump failure

My main return pump failed in my 300g. How much flow do I need to keep the fish alive until tomorrow afternoon?

I have a couple of mp40's on it and a koralia.

Those will provide enough flow, you should probably point one of them towards the top to break the surface. This will help provide some gas exchange

I agree. Should be fine.

okay thanks! I pointed the koralia toward the surface about 8 inches in front of it. It's making maybe a 3/4" hill of water.

This has happened to me. Now I keep a spare return. I added an air pump, opened the windows, and kept the top open, too. I have some large fish and they are more prone to death from low oxygen, IME. I hope all goes well for you.

I appreciate the idea. Unfortunately, we didn't get a winter this year. It was the hottest winter on record (last 150 years) with temperatures about 10-20 degrees above average since december. So tomorrow it will likely be about 90 again. I have been running the AC to keep the tank cool all winter.

If that is a problem, get some fans. Works well but results in evaporation.

I run the AC constantly in low 70's, so I don't think it's a problem right now. The tank seems cool enough to the touch. The temp probe is in the sump so it won't help...
