Pump flow in 90

Roger,
What do you think about two 6045's on a 90-gal bowfront - softies and fish only. I am going to replace the Vortech I presently have. I would think the 6000, etc would be too powerful? Didnt plan on waiting till April + to change out pump, so presently available options will have to do.

I don't think it will be enough, the 6045 is rated for tanks up to 53 gallons, a 75 is as far as I would push it and a low flow 75 at that. The flow only covers roughly 3ft by 18". The 6000 is about equal to the Vortech, narrower spread but about the same reach. I think if you are happy with the flow of the Vortech this is the best choice.
