Pump for 75g

Hi. Looking for a relatively cheap pump for my 75g (29g fuge). I live in a hot weather and temperature is sometimes an issue, but I know external pumps are more expensive and would have to drill the 29g?

Are those mags ok?

Mags do run warm, but they are affordable. I'm running a Mag 9.5 on a very similar setup as you. I think they claim they can be run externally, but everyone I've spoken with has advised against it. Eheim makes comparable pumps that don't run as hot, see if you can find a used one online

Look for a used ehiem 1260, they run cooler and you can get them around $70 used.

The heat can be a real problem, it's worth the extra bucks to get the Eheim 1260! It'll last for years w/ no problems.
