Pump for ATO

I have an aqualifter pumping my RO into my tank for my ATO and it just isn't cutting it. I have a red sea max 34g and the RO reservoir is under the tank int he stand so the pump would need to pump the water up about 4 ft. I loved the aqualifter up and hung it at the top of the tank and though it works once the water level in the reservoir goes below half it slows down dramatically.

I need a new pump. Can anyone suggest a pump that wont be too much overkill but will be able to pump the water up that distance?

Thanks!!!

I believe the Aqualifters can only push 3' up. Have you tried mounting the pump so that it only has to push 3' vertically?

I have. Right now I have it mounted behind the tank about 6 inches from the top. It works better but when the reservoir is low it goes real slow and created a whole mess of problems.

I had a similar issue with my biocube. I used two aqualifter pumps in series in order to pump that head pressure. It worked no problem. With aqualifters the only thing I can suggest is buying back up diaphrams which are super cheap and have them on hand so you can switch them out when needed. Whenever I order online from foster and smith or bulkreefsupply I always add some to my order.
