Pump placement in a sps cube

Hi

I am currently setting up my new sps cube system. I have 2x Tunze 6095, that i am unsure on how to place to get a prober flow. I have thought of doing it like on this pictures, but i would like to get some feedback, on if there is a better way to place them, to get better flow.

the system is a 74 gallons cube system.

There are too many variables. How you stack/arrange your rock will really matter. Just move them around until you like them.

I think you will have sufficient flow no matter where you place them. Like JDA said, much depends on placement of rock and corals. If it were me I'd probably put both in back right corner, each pointed down one length of the tank. You could run them on Interval mode so you'd have a dominant wave/pulse direction switching every 5-6 hours.

Thank for the answer. Would you place them high or mid height in the tank?

Probably mid height, possibly angled upwards. You want to point them such that they have the longest possible unobstructed path of flow.

Thank you, for the feedback. I will probaly try and place them, as on this picture. my biggest isue with this though, is if the magnet falls off, i am gonna have a hard time getting it up. as from the aquarium to the wall there is probaly 8cm max.

You're welcome. I think this placement looks better. Having them in that corner might make them less visible, too.

As for the Falling Magnet problem, I've faced that myself. I had to tape an extra magnet to the end of a long stick (like a yard/meter stick) to slide it behind the tank to stick to the fugitive to pull it out.

exacly the magnet on a stick, is a think i have resorted to a lot in the past only i am a bit worried that the wont be enought flow down in the left cover, but i gonna try and place them like that. at least it should hide the pumps from plain sight
