Hey hey fellow reefers,

Where locally, like Tampa and near, can I get a Little Giant 3-MDQX-SC? The LFS's usually only have the non "X" models and I need the bad mamma jamma. Grainger doesnt even carry it. I found a used one on e-bay, stupid stupid man, it's going back. Leaked like a siv from the housing. So any help?

Thanks

Dennis

well......................i cant really say what i paid for my pump.i got it as a trade with the boss for me doing a job on my day off.i worked 2 hours and free pump for me :D .i see them online for around $99.im not sure what our price is but if you are interested just call up on monday and they wil give you a price.

i know the guy from marine wharehouse was telling me that the x series is not rated for height pressure like the non x . i was looking for a replacement a while back on a x series and he tried to talk me out of it. i dont know how true that is or if it was ....

just a thought though. maybe others can chime in on thier opinion

Yeah, Marine Warehouse will usually tell you you want something thay have IN STOCK. When my x series gave up the ghost, I went there and all they had where the regular ones. So of course he tired to talk me into it. I knew better. He said he's the only one that had Little Giants in stock, and we actually argued becauese I knew for a fact that Grainger has them. I was even going to go so far as to fax him the webpage. It just happened to be a Saturday and Grainger was not open. These are the same guys who told me I COULD keep more corals and inverts with just the actinics I had on a 135 gallon. Ummm yeah right.

Oh and plus, the x series I want, the 3-mdqx-sc is rated to a 14 foot head. Im running like 3. I know it will work.
