I am looking for an external pump that will produce around 1000gph at 12' head and also be able to T off to run other equipment that is low head. right now I have a sequence 5800 pump which will be to strong but got an offer to trade for a md55rlt. would that pump be able to do what I need or will something diffrent be better? any suggestions would be great

TIA
Sam

also had offers for a dart pump but I beleive the head pressure wouldn't work on that pump very well correct?

With 12' head. I assume this is for a basement sump? Do you really need 1000 GPH? What size system?

yes, it is for a basement sump.

for the moment it will be a 75 gal. DT, with 100 gal. sump and 50 gal. fuge but will be upgrading to a 180gal.

I ran a Panworld 150PS with a 75G sump with some flow diverted to a 30G fuge pumping 10' to a 180G and I thought it had plenty of flow. Next step up would be a 200PS.

They are ok. They get noisier as they get bigger. The fan on the back makes the most noise.

yeah thats where alot of my problems get, it maybe a basement sump and such, but not alot of insulation to dampen sound from the basement to the main floor. I did see a mod that someone did on here about taking the fan off his pump and changing it with a heat sink and computer fan which he said made it silent.

I couldn't hear mine on the main floor. No insulation and hardwood floors.

That mod started that way, and progressed to better designs, simply replacing the shaft fan with a PC fan and shroud.

Be aware that the 150 PS is a 180W pump and the 200 PS is a 290W pump. The 150 PS has plenty of flow IME and is not such a big power draw.
