Pump suggestions

I am in the process of adding a sump to my 30 gallon cube and would like some suggestions for a return pump / setup.

Are there any downsides to splitting the return from the main pump?

What about using a SCWD or OM super squirt on the return?

I will have approx. 4 feet of head pressure, this included with the loss from a SCWD or OM Super Squirt would allow for a return pump somewhere around 900 gph correct?. The overflow will be a lifereef capable of around 600 gph.

I am thinking something like a mag 9 or Ehemim 1262 would be good???

The Eheim would be a better choice, less elect. and they tend to under rate their pumps. Mags don't like head pressure.

I agree with sirreal, or Try using a Hammerhead. you can always cut it back.
