Pumps on or off when feeding corals?

Do I turn off the pumps when I feed my corals cyclopeeze and other similar stuff (planktonic foods)? If so how long?

if you are target feeding then turn them off, but if you are feeding all corals and fish then just leave them on.

Once a week is fine, twice a week is better.

You might not need to shut off the pumps. If the animals can ingest the food with them on, that's easier, and avoids the popular "I forgot to turn the pumps back on" problem. Many of the LPS are more predator-oriented at night, and that might be a good time to feed.

I turn off my skimmer when I feed phytoplankton, but I use a countdown timer to turn it back on, so there's no "forgetting" issue.

Good idea about the timer.

I turn them off but when I feed my fish I keep them on and I drop the food in front of a seio and the fish got flying off to get the food. Kinda funny to watch.
